Less than four weeks after announcing it will be launching a new route to Palma from London City Airport this year, British Airways has already increased its flight schedule due to massive interest.
This is the first time BA has operated a leisure only service from the docklands with five flights every week direct to Palma, Mallorca, beginning in May. They are also looking for a slot on Saturdays, which is yet to be confirmed. The flights on Friday, Sunday and Monday will offer the perfect opportunity for those looking for weekend breaks to the island.
The flights include complimentary food and drinks, free on-line check in and seat selection 24 hours before departure, but importantly, London City Airport boasts the lowest check-in times compared to any other airport in London.
The Docklands Light Railway runs every ten minutes from the airport to Canning Town tube station (a journey of just seven minutes) where you can join the Jubilee line for all London destinations.
